The poem on Sneaky’s tag reads: “A shadow in the dark you’ll see / Don’t be afraid, it’s only me / My spots will hide me ’til I see / That you are just the friend for me.” It’s hard to imagine this little leopard stealthily maneuvering through the nighttime African landscape and stalking its prey. What is easier to imagine is this baby leopard cuddling with a doting owner under the bed covers or carefully perched on a proud collector’s shelf. The tawny colors and dark rosettes on its realistic-looking fur make this plush predator especially striking. But it’s the delicate pink cat nose and wide amber eyes that give Sneaky an aura of sweetness. Sneaky, who was born on February 22, is one of the Ty’s year 2000 babies. –Gail Hudson
